FUNDAÇÃO DE ROTARIANOS DE SÃO PAULO Rotary Club da Bahia The Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo received a visit from José Maria Galende, president of Rotary Club da Bahia, District 4550 governor elected, Durval Olivieri, president elected Jairo Sento Sé and a retinue of 21 Rotarians, among whom representatives of Rotary Club de Ilhéus Jorge Amado and Novos Centros Alphaville. The group toured the facilities of the Colégio Rio Branco, the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco, the Centro Profi ssionailizante Rio Branco and the Escola para Crianças Surdas Rio Branco; and was welcomed by the president of the Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo. Discussions about themes such as cognitive science, technology, the importance of partnerships with universities, among others, were added to the exchange of experiences among the representatives of both entities, focused on the perspective of an education Eduardo de Barros Pimentel and the retinue of Rotarians from Bahia aligned with the demands of the future. Federal University of Pernambuco Representatives of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Solange Coutinho, pro-dean of extension, and Anísio Brasileiro de Freitas, pro-dean of research and post- graduation, visited the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco; and were welcomed by Eduardo de Barros Pimentel, the Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo president. After visiting classrooms, TV studios, laboratories and library, the group met the area coordinators; they were then informed about the several courses offered by the institution in addition to actions in progress and new projects. Cooperation actions for the future were discussed by both parties, unveiling the exchange of experiences and the accomplishment of joint works in different Solange Coutinho, Eduardo de Barros Pimentel and Anísio Brasileiro de Freitas fi elds of knowledge. Ministry of Foreign Affairs Advisor - Northeast Region The Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo received a visit from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Advisor for the Northeast Region (Erene), César de Paiva Leite Filho, and his wife Solange.The visit aimed to disseminate the actions of the maintained entities of the Foundation across the diplomatic environment. The Foundation’s educational work was highlighted in a visit to the Centro Profi ssionalizante Rio Branco, the Escola para Crianças Surdas Rio Branco, the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco, and the Colégio Rio Branco. At Rotary Building, the visitors went to Armando de Arruda Pereira Museum – where documents concerning Rotary’s trajectory are gathered – and learned about the works of the Inter-countries Committee Brazil, Portugal and Offi cial Portuguese Speaking Countries (CIP-Plop), an entity that supports cultural, economic and social projects proposed by Rotarians of those countries.
