FACULDADES INTEGRADAS RIO BRANCO Top Blog 2010 The blog Fãs d’Esportes (www.fasdesportes.com.br), created by students Rodrigo Hoschett, Felipe Araujo, Caio Fernandes and Dhiego Vicário, in the 6th stage of Journalism at the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco, had strong voting from Internet users on the fi rst days of the 2010 Top Blog Awards. Imposing itself by the quality of the texts, video-reports and timeliness of the themes, the blog has been providing lovers of all sports with fi rst-line journalistic information. ACADEMIC MERIT SCHOLARSHIP The Merit Scholarship, an initiative of the Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo, inspired by the practice of American universities, has been, for ten years, rewarding the effort and dedication of students from all courses of FRB. The awarding ceremony was attended by the president of the Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo, Eduardo de Barros Pimentel, the general director of the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco, Custódio Pereira, and the academic director, Edman Altheman, awarding 43 students with full scholarships during one school semester. Merit Scholarship honors the work of FRB students VISITS Town Council of São Paulo 1st and 5th semester students of the Law school visited the Town Council of São Paulo, accompanied by the coordinator of the Law course, Paulo Sérgio Feuz and teacher Alexandre Cortona. The visit aimed to expose students to the operation of the chamber, the process of bills, the role of the Committees, etc. After watching a presentation in the Noble Hall, which highlighted the history and political function of the Town Council, the students took part in a solemn tribute session and witnessed the award of a Group of students accompanied by the teacher Alessandro Cortona and Paulo Sérgio Feuz and Councilman Celso Jatene.
