Young Scientist Award The student Leonardo Gomes da Cruz, third year of high school, took part in the XXIV edition of the Young Scientist Award, a joint initiative of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), Gerdau and Roberto Marinho Foundation (FRM). The award aims at stimulating research, revealing talents and investing in students and professionals seeking solutions for Brazilian problems. Leonardo Gomes da Cruz signed up with the project “Wind power At the center, the student Leonardo Gomes da Cruz, during the offi cial handover of in Brazil: plenty to be explored”. his project for registration in the Young Scientist Award Talent Award 2010 An award in November celebrated the academic Math Challenge, National Brazilian History Olympic Games, performance of students in various fi elds of knowledge Brazilian Physics Olympic games, Brazilian Astronomy and and their gifted responses to the extracurricular projects Astronautics Olympic Games, Writing Workshops, and involving the participation in the Mini UN, Youth Parliament, Toefl Junior exams. Awarded students I Still Remember The audience attending the four presentations of the Rio Branco School Theatre Group, at the end of the year, warmly applauded the talents of the students. The cast, made up of students from the two units, presented the results of a study that analyzed the work of Clarice Lispector and allowed them to create their own texts. “I Still Remember” invited the public to free their imagination, exploring the themes of childhood, youth, longing and joy, in a demonstration of creativity and love Theater play paid tribute to Clarice Lispector for the art of expression. 60 Annual Report 2010
