SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY Students visited Tietê-Paraná river Study of the Environment - Water: what do I have to do with it? “Water: what do I have to do with it?” That was the lock on river Tietê-Paraná. It was a vivid, multidisciplinary subject of the Field trip taken by 6th graders of Elementary class, about all that takes water from nature to our homes School, who visited “Fazenda Estância Peraltas”, in the city – a moment of awareness on the value of this resource and of Brotas, and also the city of Barra Bonita, to know the the importance of using it reasonably. “React Group” leads the participation of school students at Earth Hour “The planet has always given you was replicated in every entity maintained by everything. Give an hour to the planet”. This the Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo, message, an appeal from the React Group and the invitation echoed the importance (stands for “Refl ection, Balance and Action of the campaign that raised awareness towards the Environment”), was the school’s worldwide to the problem of global contribution to the “Earth Hour” initiative, warming, encouraging everyone to turn off promoted by WWF (Word Wildlife Fund). It the lights for one hour, on March 27th. CELEBRATIONS Poetry Day On National Poetry Day and on World Poetry Day students showed their sensitivity and creativity when working with words. Elementary School 2nd and 3rd graders, expressing joy in the approach to the genre and intimacy with the poetic form, wrote poems and recited works by renowned authors, communicating Student recites a poem by Cecília Meireles in an inspired fashion. 66 Annual Report 2010
