CIP Plop protocols memorial at the UNO On a visit to the office of the United Nations Organizations (UNO) in New York, the chairman of Inter-country Commission Brazil-Portugal & Portuguese da Silva, Carlos Henrique de Carvalho Fróes, Zeneida Apolônio Seixas, Dulce Rocha deJosé Alves Fortes, Ricardo Gondim, Carlos Jerônimo da Silva Gueiros, Vicente Herculano Speaking Countries (CIP Plop), Carlos Jerônimo da Silva Mattos and Waldenir de Bragança Gueiros filed a memorial requesting the inclusion of the issue of recognition of Portuguese as an official language of the UNO, alongside Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, French, English and Russian in its agenda of discussions. The document, addressed to the General Secretary Ban Ki-moon, the signatories Carlos Jerônimo da Silva Gueiros, Eduardo de Barros Pimentel, president of the Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo, Carlos Henrique de Carvalho Fróes, president of the Brazilian Academy of Letters, José Alves Fortes, vice- president of the Brazil Rotary magazine, and Waldenir de Bragança, vice-president of administration of publication, present political, economic and cultural conditions that justify the request. The councelour Alan Coêlho Séllos Meeting of Consulting Observers with the Portuguese Speaking Countries Committee (CPLP) The Inter-country Commission Brazil-Portugal and other Portuguese-speaking Countries (CIP PIop), chaired by Carlos Jerônimo da Silva Gueiros, who is also the coordinator of the Inter-country Committee in Brazil, attended the V Meeting of Advisory Observers with the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) in Lisbon, as the Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo has the status of Consultative Observer. In this meeting, the CIP PIop presented to the representatives of the CPLP and other consulting observers its form of action, highlighting its projects that are already closed or underway, involving several Rotary Clubs in Brazil. The results of the projects undertaken for the benefit of the Portuguese- speaking countries can be multiplied when they are shared or even connected to the initiatives of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), which comprehends all areas of Rotary. The effective collaboration between the CIP PIop and an international intergovernmental organization such as the CPLP is an example of the great potential of international relations and cooperation, indicating the completion of the performance of states and civil society.
