Annual Report 2011 SPMUN (São Paulo Model United Nations) The Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco hosted the 2nd SPMUN students from schools in several states to live typical situations (São Paulo Model United Nations) which gathered High School in the diplomatic world and within diplomatic activities. In the event, idealized by former International Relations Course student Vitor Hugo Dahlstrom, the students could assess the good perspectives regarding internationally geared activities in face of the complexity of the issues that evermore involve all countries, in a global dance, requiring the action of good negotiators. Within the discussion forums, each student simulated his participation in a certain country, representing that country’s interests before the Atomic Energy International Agency, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Commission for the Consolidation of Peace, European Economic and Social Committee, African Union Peace and Security Council, United Nations Trusteeship Council, Organization of American States, South American Nations Union, and United Nations Security Council. Students during São Paulo Model United Nations G8/G20 Youth Summit A group of students from the International Relations Course at Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco comprised the first Brazilian Delegation to participate in the Annual G8/G20 Meeting Youth Summit organized by Youth for International Dialogue and which took place in Paris. The event aims at providing a true experience within the scope of international relations through the carrying out of actions that would be true to the activity, based in diplomacy and negotiation, contributing to the improvement of institutions such as G8 and G20. Each of the delegation members, comprised by the students Ana Beatriz Franciscone, Tiago Rizzi, Larissa Camargo, Douglas Bernardo Silva, Caio Scuarcialupi and Beatriz Carvalho dos Brazil Delegation in G8/G20 Youth Summit Santos Cruz, assumed the responsibility of playing the roles of a head of State and of Ministry of different cabinets under linked to the reform of the world financial systems, targets for the guidance and follow-up of teachers Alexandre Uehara and the millennium and challenges to the sustainable growth among Angela Tsatlogiannis. The Brazilian representatives participated other subjects. In their final communiqué, the event gathered in important discussions about current political affairs, generally all proposals made by the students, regarding different issues, present at the G8 and G20 meetings, joining other college and those were forwarded to the technical assistant to president students from different countries, proposing solutions for issues Nicolas Sarkozi, patron of the event and president of G20. 3rd National Meet for the Brazilian Association of International Relations The College was represented at the 3rd National Meet for teachers and students from the International Relations course. the Brazilian Association of International Relations - ABRI by The meet aimed at gathering the main educational and research institutions in the Country which contribute to the consolidation of this area of knowledge through scientific-academic works. During the three day programming, the students, guided by teachers Alexandre Uehara, Denilde Oliveira Holzhacker, Martha Mercado and Regiane Nitsch Bressam, presented the results of their research on the influence of social medias on politics, human rights in Somalia, Chinese investments in Africa, Japan repositioning in the XXI Century, the Mercosur controversy solution, assistance to refugees in Brazil and the resurgence of liberalism in the 80’s.
