Annual Report 2011 Profession - Journalist Journalists Arnaldo Ferraz, from Globo Networks and Cristiane Alcala, from TV Cultura of São Paulo, talked to the journalism students about the challenges of the profession in a large TV vehicle. Arnaldo Ferraz emphasized the importance of a global education in the area and Cristiane Alcala talked about the reduction in the number of professionals placed in journalism companies. Invited journalist talked about their professional challenges Profession - Public Relations The factors that have an impact on the activity and profession of Public Relations were the subject of a lecture given by Renata Silveira, director of Ogilvy Public Relations Brasil, to all of the students of the Public Relations course. Renata Silveira talked about her profession practices 70 Years of Radio Journalism in Brazil The teachers from the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco and guests talked to the Journalism course students on the release of the work “70 Years of Radio Journalism in Brazil”. The work, the result of twenty years of research developed by the Sociedade Brasileira de Estudos interdisciplinares da Comunicação – Intercom (Brazilian Society for Communication Interdisciplinary Studies) about the history of radio journalism in the Country, gathers 22 articles of researchers throughout Brazil, among which, our own Coordinator for the Journalism Course at the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco, Patrícia Patrícia Rangel, Dalmácio Jordão, Pedro Vaz, Marcelo Cardoso and Júlia Lúcia Oliveira Rangel, teacher of Faculdade Cásper Líbero, Pedro Vaz, teacher of Universidade de Santo Amaro (Unisa), Marcelo Cardoso, and on the air from 1941 to 1968, to characteristics of informative the Social Communications Coordinator for Unisa, Júlia Lucia radio and specificities of special broadcasts such as series, Oliveira, who wrote about subjects linked to the history of reports and documentaries. The event had the participation of Repórter Esso – the presenter of a Radio News Show which was the Esso Reporter, Dalmacio Jordão. Creation and Production Process The process involved in the creation and production of the Turma da Mônica comic books was the theme of a lecture given by associates of the company Maurício de Sousa Produções. Wagner Ramari, Gilberto Valadares, Bruno Honda Leite, Flávio Teixeira de Jesus and Sidney Gusman talked about the evolution of the comic book and about the characteristics of the work as a graphic designer, illustrator, art director, script writer and editorial planning director in this type of company.
