Annual Report 2011 COURSE WEEKS The ‘Weeks’ events, promoted by the different courses, brought to the campus lecturer experts, teachers and company executives who talked about current issues in several fields of activity. Law Week Honored with the presence of the president of the OAB-Lapa (Brazilian Bar Association), Fabiano Marques de Paula, and of the Superintendent of the Instituto de Pesos e Medidas do Estado de São Paulo (IPEM-SP – The Office of Weights and Measures of the State of São Paulo), Law Week discussed issues regarding the Law professional activities, among them: human rights, constitutional principles of Criminal Law, consumer protection and restorative justice. A simulated jury, starred by students of the 8th period, under the coordination of teachers Janaina Varalli and Ednilson de Andrade Arraes de Mello, tried a real case of murder. The Law Week received authorities in the Law area Administration, Economic Sciences and Foreign Trade Week The president of the Associação Nacional dos Cursos de Graduação em Administração – Angrad (National Association for Graduate Administration Courses), Mauro Kreuz, delivered a speech about ‘Entrepreneurship in the 21st Century’, emphasizing the importance of Administration and market knowledge for business planning. Issues such as commercial relations between Brazil and Italy, the financial economic crisis that reaches several countries and the success factors in financial management were the subject matter of lectures respectively delivered by teacher Paolo Edoardo Coti-Zelati, the economist Cleaveland Prates and by the masters and doctorate holder by FEA/USP, Wilson Toshiro Nakamura. The Administration Week received specialists in several Education Week The 12th Education Week had the presence of Denis Mandarino, teacher of the Colleges, who talked about the influence of the verbal and nonverbal languages in the unconscious and how to identify them; Maria Heloísa Corrêa de Toledo Ferraz, a doctor in Fine Arts, discussed the importance of art in education; Alexandre Alves da Silva, teacher of arts and movement and Roseli Carreiro Zanlorenzi de Araújo, educator, lectured on issues regarding the presence of the ‘ludic’ aspects in the education. The issue of using communication and information technologies in the classroom was broached by Ana Carolina Weffort de Andrade, from Sesc SP (Commerce Social Service). ‘The art and rise of self-knowledge’ was the underlying theme in the Lecture delivered by Fabiana Gonçalves dos Santos Malandrino, teacher at the College, who conducted a session with pictures and words cut out from magazines and newspapers from which the students built a panel representing their way of being.
