University Journey The Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco attended the University Journey, designed by the municipality of São Paulo in partnership with Higher Education institutions, which aims to encourage young university students to provide various services to the community. Students of the Pedagogy course set up a workshop of bio-jewelry, open to those interested in undertakings in the sector, besides reserving a room for storytelling for younger audiences. Law course students offered their services in the legal fi eld, clarifying questions regarding social rights, assisted by teachers. University Journey offered services to the community Cleaner Production Warning on the high cost of pollution control, Eduardo San Martin, a member of the Superior Council for the Environment and the Environment Department of FIESP (Industry Federation of the State of São Paulo) submitted to an audience made up by students and teachers, large companies’ solutions with regard to the production of goods, with energy, water and raw materials’ saving and pollutant reduction. In a video, FIESP President - Paul Skaff, invited students to take part in the contest of the entity, dedicated to the awarding of university students’ P+L counted with the participation of FRB projects that address cleaner production practices. 1st Fair of the Tertiary Sector The 1st Fair of the Tertiary Sector, sponsored by the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco, gathered various NGOs, invited by the Public Relations 5th semester students. Oriented by the teacher Cyro Couto, in charge of the event, students developed creative ways to show the public the work of entities dedicated to cultural and sport activities for underprivileged children, collecting stray animals, scouting, searching for missing Fair showed creative works that benefi t the society children, and providing professional training of underprivileged people and other professional professionals, the students took part in a debate on the training through art, among others. theme “Young Volunteers”, which had as guests Marcos At the event closure, which proved to be a signifi cant Eduardo Souza e Silva, from Rotaract, and Andrew Spina, means of enabling the practice of public relations from the 1st Scout Group of São Paulo. 50 Annual Report 2010
