ENTRANCE EXAM, PROFESSION AND CAREER Review Program In 2010, the school intensifi ed a series of activities with the objective of supporting students in their preparation for entrance exams and in defi ning their professional career. Reinforcement classes created conditions to review contents according to specifi c diffi culties, followed by practice tests that enable the students to experience the exam situation. The tutoring has revealed itself to be a real exercise of leadership, in conjunction with “Building Opinions”, an event in which students are asked to have a positioning before controversial themes and defend their ideas. SPORTS Women’s Volleyball Team participates in the “Escola da Vila” Olympic Games In May, the women’s volleyball team from the Higienópolis High School Unit took part in the “Escola da Vila” Olympic Games, a tournament that brings together various schools of the city of São Paulo. The Colégio Rio Branco, Escola da Vila, Colégio Equipe and Colégio Júlio Mesquita Students and educators from the schools who took part in the volleyball fi nals competed in the fi nal round. Rio Branco Chess Cup The II Rio Branco Chess Cup gathered parents and children, in both school units, around chessboards, attentive to the movement of “kings” and “queens”, cheering and supporting each other. The tournament was an audience success and revealed great talents - an incentive to invest in activities like this, which, in addition to the competitive nature, develops many skills in terms of emotional and logical reasoning. Students in the II Rio Branco Chess Cup Swimming Festival Gold, silver and bronze medals delivered by parents proud of carried out in Granja Vianna. Swimming in various modalities, the performance of their children brought joy to students from the students gave their best and were rewarded by the results, 3 to 17 years old, who competed in the Swimming Festival, which revealed promising talents. 62 Annual Report 2010
