Annual Report 2011 RESULTS Enade - National Student Performance Exam TheFaculdades Integradas Rio Branco stood out in the latestExame Nacional de Desempenho dos Estudantes - Enade (National Student Performance Exam) which assesses the quality of courses and higher education institutions in the Country. The Information Systems Course was ranked 1st both in the city and the state of São Paulo. The International Relations course was considered the 8th best in Brazil and ranked 2nd both in the city and state of São Paulo. The Radio and TV course ranked 3rd, Pedagogy and Public Relations ranked 4th and Business Administration ranked 6th among courses in the city. Commercial Management Course – Highest Score from MEC (Ministry of Education) The technological course in Commercial Management, offered by the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco, earned the highest indicator score for quality in the Conceito Preliminar de Curso - CPC (Preliminary Course Concept) category, an assessment tool for higher education courses created by the Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira - Inep (Anísio Teixeira Educational Research and Study National Institute) an institution linked to MEC - the Ministry of Education. Comprised by different variables, the CPC (Preliminary Course Concept) takes into consideration the results of the student performance assessment, infrastructure and installations, teaching-educational resources and the level of the faculty. The score of five, granted to the Commercial Management course, is attributed to an institution which fully fulfills the criteria of quality, being a reference in terms of excellence. TALENTS Social Communication Home Grown Former students from the Public Relations, Journalism and Publising courses presented to their colleagues their experiences in the preparation of their Final Papers (Trabalhos de Conclusão de Curso - TCC). The groups reinforced the importance of research and the accurate selection of the assessment tools aiming at an effective result, as it shall be required in the exercise of their professional lives. Students presented their Final Papers III Festcom During the 11th Communication Week, the III Festcom was held, a college project that awards video productions from students of all courses. Judged according to their message, creativity and technique, the winning videos, in each category, were: “Cânticos da Natureza” (Nature Canticles) by Alessandro Souza, Fábio Scotti Marinho, Gislaine Maciel and Samuel Sousa; “Um Minuto é o Suficiente” (One minute is enough), by Anderson Bacellos and “O Sr. Barriga também já sofreu com aluguel” (Mr. BigBelly has also suffered to pay his rent), by Diego Rafael.
