Annual Report 2011 29th Brazilian Association of Public Relations Award (ABRP) Two works from the Public Relations course were awarded at the 29th Brazilian Association of Public Relations Award, competing with productions from students from all over the Country. The Construction of an Organizational Culture, Image and Identity of the Brazilian Museum Institute (Ibram) 2nd place in the category Governmental Piece Authors: Ana Flávia Domingues, Carolina Domingues, Elisangela Abreu, Marilisa Bertolin and Silmara Santos Support: teacher Rosemary Jordão Rosas de Ouro Society: Public Relations Parading in the Samba Avenue 3rd Place in the Third Sector category Authors: Camila Cardoso, Caroline Minetti, Josie Ferreira, Júlia Prieto and Leandro Gléria Support: teacher Cyro Couto 33rd Vladimir Herzog Award For the first time, in over 30 years of the history of the Vladimir Herzog Award, the event was covered by journalism students. Aiming at bringing together the theory and the practical work, the students from the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco - under the guidance of the Journalism course coordinator, Patricia Rangel, and of teachers Patrícia Ceolin and Clara Correa, produced extensive material for the Oboré Website, one of the award’s supporters. The participation of students happened by invitation of Oboré’s Director, Sergio Gomes. Students interviewed the winners “Sem Outdoor Não Dá” (No One Can Do Without Outdoors) Contest A student from the Advertising course, Felipe Roberto Tonin de Oliveira, placed 7th in the Student Category of the contest “Sem Outdoor Não Dá” (No One Can Do Without Outdoors) an initiative from the Outdoor Central that aimed at showing the importance of this media as a tool in advertising. Based on the question “Dá pra pensar grande?” (Can you think big?) followed by the contest’s motto “Sem Outdoor Não Dá” (No One Can Do Without Outdoors), the student was able to see his school work, supported by teacher Paulo Durão, become a strategic piece in the contest that gathered students from all over the country.
