Portuguese Language The coordinators from the Portuguese Language Department discussed, with support from consultant Maria José da Nóbrega, several issues involving teaching and learning of Portuguese in Pre-School and Elementary School, such as spelling, writing, reading and text interpreting. Maria José da Nóbrega Teamwork and Structured Teaching Issues involving Teamwork and Structured Teaching – which are the axis of educational improvement, along with reading, writing and oral reports – were broadly discussed by the respective groups, dedicated to evaluate results throughout the year and encourage the dawning of new ideas, aiming to achieve the objectives of these two types of studies. Continued Education Meetings The Encontros de Formação Continuada (Continued Education several different contents, until the 1st grade, and interdisciplinarity Meetings) were attended by Pre-School and Elementary School of subjects, allowing for a broader vision of knowledge and not a teachers, revolving on the theme of polyvalence - working with fragmented one, when working with classes from 1st to 4th grades. Inspectors Improve their Knowledge and Skills Inspectors from both units of the school took part in a training program with consultant Amélia Meleiro da Venser, on the role that they play - the relationship with students and parents, and discussions on ways to continuously improve the level of these relationships based on individual improvement and on teamwork. Group dynamics activities were held, exercising the reflection on the importance of respecting differences and of permanent dialog with the purpose of solving problems and exercising collaborative spirit.
