Students from Pre School and 1st grade of Elementary School participated, throughout the year, of an activity that promoted financial education and encouraged conscious consumption. Concepts such as savings and deadlines were worked with the students who made their purchasing choices in a bookstore and in a supermarket at the end of the year. DEAF STUDENT RECEIVES THE RIO BRANCO AWARD A student has achieved excellent grades during the 6th grade of Elementary School and was recognized by that during a ceremony. TALENT The student Amanda Ayumi Mikami, who graduated in 2012, on the 5th grade of Elementary School at the Centro de Educação para Surdos Rio Branco, won the traditional Rio Branco Award. Amanda is the first deaf student of Elementary School to receive the honor. The award, which is granted to students who excel in different segments, aims to enhance the students’ good performance and their courage to overcome difficulties.
