MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT In 2014, the Fundação de Rotarianos university credit program in Brazil, were also very significant for the institution. In addition, we had a new undergraduation course approved: Production Engineering. The Ensino a Distância Rio Branco (Rio Branco Distance Learning), aware of the best practices in distance learning program, also came up with some innovation in their courses: new resources for classes, more online roundtable discussions, and recordings in different environments. In full expansion, the Centro Profissionalizante Rio Branco - CEPRO (Rio Branco Professional Center) showed excellent results on youth employability based on the Programa de Aprendizagem Profissional (Professional Learning Program). The partnership betweem Selur - Sindicato das Empresas de Limpeza Urbana no Estado de São Paulo (Union of the Urban Cleaning Companies in São Paulo State) and Rotary to offer the Professional Learning Program for the Deaf and Physically Impaired People is significant for promoting inclusion in the job market. de São Paulo celebrated its 68th anniversary. Along the way, we have achieved many victories that were only possible with the commitment of our counselors, directors, managers, educators and employees. Last year, important partnerships were established, new courses were offered, attractive scholarships and significant student loan programs were implemented. All this was done in the name of our mission which is to serve with excellence through education, forming ethical, supportive and competent citizens. As expected, the year of 2014 presented challenges that were faced and transformed into opportunities. Being all committed, we learned and evolved in our activities. We contributed to the continuity of our Foundation, prioritizing budget adjustment, optimizing revenue and expenditure, however, without interfering in the quality of our work. The focus was to retain our students, as well as attract new ones, spreading the “Rio Branco” brand - something we are very proud of and that has become a symbol of excellence in the educational environment. In the Colégio Rio Branco (Rio Branco School), important actions were implemented focused on academic achievement, teacher professional development and acknowledgment of student role. Educators had the opportunity to complete the postgraduate course “Educadores para o Século XXI” (Educators for the 21st Century), by Tampere University of Applied Science, Finland. New programs to prepare students for important ‘vestibulares’ (entrance exam to higher education) stood out and have shown significant results regarding the performance of students. The year was also very promising for the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco. All 10 courses assessed by Student Guide, published by Editora Abril, were scored, summing up 36 stars.
