Annual Report 2014

The Centro de Educação para Surdos Rio Branco (Rio Branco Educational Center for the Deaf) plays an important role by strengthening the deaf culture among students, families and the community in general. In 2014, the Center promoted internal activities for students, families and educators. In adittion, there were also some external activities such as lectures and meetings on topics such as bilingualism, Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) and deaf culture, in order to increase their visibility and search for partnerships. The Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo, as the maintainer entity of the Instituições Rio Branco, had a great accomplishment through management strategies focused on high performance and institutional quality. The Strategic Planning of the maintainer entity, monitored by directors and managers in regular meetings, sought to align the goals and actions proposed by the entities maintained, promoting synergy between theory and practice. Thinking outside of the box, the Foundation aims to develop the institutions through constant investment in international benchmarking. In 2014, the Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo narrowed its relations even further with Finland, reference country in education. From this year, the Annual Report will be fully online, which reinforces the commitment of the institution with practices that are modern and that show environmental concern. Thus, it is with great pride that we developed the Annual Report 2014, which presents the main activities undertaken during the year, offering to readers an overview of how the work of the Instituições Rio Branco supports children, young people and adults through education.
