In class, subjects like Libras (Brazilian Sign Language), deaf culture, integration and accessibility, focusing on both theory and practice, were discussed. The Centro Profissionalizante Rio Branco promoted the 9th and the 10th edition of Deaf and Accessibility Workshop, held in partnership with Centro de Educação para Surdos Rio Branco, and supported by Selur - Union of the Urban Cleaning Companies in São Paulo State. Along ten meetings, subjects such as basic vocabulary in Libras and knowledge on deafness, deaf culture, integration and accessibility, were discussed, focusing on both theory and practice. The courses were taught by interpreter Rubens Gomes and the deaf instructor Wilson Santos. Susana Penteado, Cepro director, opened the event with Ariovaldo Caodaglio, Selur president, and José Carlos do Carmo, coordinator of the Inclusion Project for People with Disabilities, by the Ministry of Labor and Employment. The psychologists Renata Paparelli, Andreia Garbin, Carolina Grando, Livia Chaud Albano and Adriane Senna conducted a research with participants in order to assess the results of the Professional Learning Program for the Deaf and Physically Impaired People. To carry out this process, the psychologists applied some tools such as a questionnaire, discussion groups and individual interviews.
