CIP PLOP VISIT OF THE PORTUGUESE-SPEAKING COUNTRIES COMMUNITY DIRECTOR Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo welcomed the general director of the Portuguese- Speaking Countries Community (CPLP). Dr. Hélder Lopes, also a candidate to the Presidency of the Republic in his country, Guinea-Bissau, during his stay in São Paulo, visited the Fundação with the objective to present his action plan and the projects for the development of his country and the improvement of his people’s life. At the occasion, he requested support from the Fundação to what refers to the educational area, as he knew the job developed by the institution and its maintained entities. The general director of CPLP participated in the VI Meeting of Rotarians from Portuguese-Speaking Countries, held in Gramado, in Rio Grande do Sul, in 2009, simultaneously with the XXXII Brazil Rotary Institute, where he was one of the lecturers and approached the topics “The role of CPLP Hélder Vaz Lopes and and the civil society” and “Illiteracy, Hunger, Diseases, Environment”.
