DEAFNESS AND ACCESSIBILITY 7TH AND 8TH DEAFNESS AND ACCESSIBILITY WORKSHOPS The workshops are aimed at companies and professionals concerned in including and integrating individuals with disability in a welcoming, fair and socially responsible environment. The Deafness and Accessibility para Surdos Rio Branco, in a Susana Penteado, director of Workshops are promoted by partnership with the Union of Cepro, and Sabine Vergamini, Centro Profissionalizante Rio the Urban Cleaning Companies director of CES, participated in Branco and by Centro de Educação in SP State (Selur). the opening of the workshops, which counted on the participation of over twenty professionals, each of them, in search of capacitation to learn the basic vocabulary of the Brazilian Signs Language (Libras). Courses lasted ten weeks, and were given by instructor Rubens Gomes and by deaf teacher Wilson Santos, who highlighted the importance of the participants being open and available to cooperate with the deaf in the moment of communicating. The professionals learned more about the culture and universe of deafness THE FIGHT OF THE IMPAIRED PERSON SOCIAL QUOTAS LAW AND DECENT WORK FOR DISABLED INDIVIDUALS FORUM Students of the Professional Learning Program for Deaf and Physically Impaired People participated in the Forum. The Forum on the Social Quotas Brazilian Law and Decent Work for disabled Individuals was held during the International Fair of Technologies in Rehabilitation, Inclusion and Accessibility (Reatech), in Imigrantes Exposition Center. Accompanied by the Cepro Team, Fernanda Oliveira, Juliana Doto, Simone Arcanjo and Marília Lima, the students participated in the forum and in the fair for the first time. The Forum, organized by Espaço da Cidadania, gathered various companies, entities and public agencies, which presented projects, developed with and for impaired people, and debated themes such as the fulfillment of the Law of Social Quotas by public agencies and companies, fiscalization of the law and the right to work of impaired people. 2013 Annual Report 87
