Annual Report 2014 103 TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION TV CES Curiosities of deaf culture and school events are reported by TV CES. In order to present the everyday life of the Centro de Educação para Surdos Rio Branco, the “TV CES” was created. It is a monthly digital magazine in which students are the protagonists. The new project discloses, in a dynamic and attractive way, the activities developed by the institution in different boards that are posted weekly on school Facebook and Instagram. All monthly works are grouped into a larger program, which is presented by students. According to Sabine Vergamini, CES director, and Carolina da Costa, audiovisual operator, the project helps to disclose, in a dynamic and attractive way, work and activities developed. HUMAN RIGHTS FILM FESTIVAL CES presented the video “I’m Deaf!” and took part f the opening ceremony with Brazilian Sign Language translation The Centro de Educação para Surdos Rio Branco presented its production “I am deaf!”, at the 9th Human Rights Film Festival in the Southern Hemisphere. The opening ceremony was translated by interpreter of the Brazilian Sign Language - Libras, Mirian Caxilé. In a world where the majority of people can hear, the video “I’m deaf!” draws the viewer’s attention to the prejudice suffered daily by deaf people, provoking and encouraging people to reflect on their values, clarifying issues and showing that deaf subject has its own identity, language and culture. The World Cup was one of the episodes for TV CES Mirian Caxilé during the Film Festival
