“MISUNDERSTANDINGS” EXHIBITION AT MAM Students on the 4th and 5th grade of Elementary School visited the exhibition “Misunderstandings”, by Brazilian artist Rivane Neuenschwander, at MAM (São Paulo Museum of Modern Art). During the visit, monitored by Leonardo Castilho, a deaf art educator of MAM, students visited the works of the artist and had the opportunity to participate in a sensorial experience with the use of language. Students during the meeting ENVIRONMENT STUDY VISIT TO BUTANTAN INSTITUTE 112 Annual Report 2014 Students were able to visit the animals, get to know the biological museum, the serpentarium and the monkey area and also made a picnic. Students of the 2nd grade of Elementary School visited the Butantan Institute, a center for biomedical research that maintains zoological scientific collections and develops educational and cultural activities through four museums. The purpose of the visit was to finalize the Silkworm BICHOMANIA FARM On the tour, students had the opportunity to get in touch with different animals. Students from Pre School and 1st grade of Elementary School visited the Bichomania Farm, located in Cotia. The tour, which comprises the pedagogical approach of the school to expand the world knowledge, aimed to expand the linguistic repertoire of students, offer a cultural experience in a new environment, besides promoting contact with the animals. Through the partnership of Centro de Educação para Surdos Rio Branco and Bichomania Farm, the tour was free of charge. Project, that students had started in the classroom. On that occasion, students could notice the Silkworm characteristics and several other animals, such as frogs and spiders, and then compare the characteristics of those animals in classroom.
