COMMUNITY COUNCIL Strengthening the relationship between the Foundation and Rotary Clubs in Cotia region is the Community Council role. In March, it was held the Community Council traditional meeting and, in September, the election of its steering board, reinforcing the commitment of the Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo with the interaction with the clubs in Cotia region. At the meeting, we had the presence of the FRSP Board of Directors President, Nahid Chicani; the PDRI, José Antonio Figueiredo Antiório, who is the current Community Council Vice- President; José Américo Fischmann, the secretary; and Sizenando Affonso, the honorary board member. The governors Ligeia Stivanin and Ivo Nascimento and Sharing ideas on opportunities for Rio Branco Institutions in Cotia and Higienópolis regions 14 Annual Report 2014 Sizenando Affonso, José Antonio Figueiredo Antiório, Susana Penteado, Reginaldo Bertocci, Nahid Chicani, José Américo Fischmann, Ligeia Stivanin and Ivo Nascimento Marco Rossi, FRSP superintendent, have also attended the meeting. At the time, Edman Altheman, Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco General Director, talked about the plans for Granja Vianna campus as a quality alternative of higher education for the region. Susana Penteado, Centro Profissionalizante Rio Branco Director, presented its Expansion Project. Since 2012, studies are been conducted in Cotia and surrounding municipalities to identify regions with a large population of young adults ready to be trained for the labor market. As a result of this work, a partnership was established between Rotary Club Taboão da Serra Pirajuçara and Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo in order to create a Cepro unit in Taboão da Serra. In September, members were inducted for the 2014/2015 tenure and the steering board was elected, that now is formed by: José Antonio Figueiredo Antiório, vice-president, and José Américo Fischmann, re-elected as secretary. At the time, Alexandre Uehara, Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco Academic Director, presented the Talented Young People Project, and counselors were invited to visit the facilities of the maintained entities located at Granja Vianna unit. DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE FOR GRANJA VIANNA AND HIGIENÓ POLIS REGIONS In 2014, Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo created the Development Committee for Granja Vianna and Higienópolis regions with the objetive to propose actions aiming the Rio Branco institutions development and, consequently, increase the number of students. Every month, the GV Committee got together at Granja Vianna Campus of Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco, coordinated by Ligéia Stivanin (Rotary Club Cotia Granja Vianna - D/4610), and at Higienópolis unit, coordinated by Dino Samaja (Rotary Club São Paulo - Sul - D/4420). Both committees had the presence of Nahid Chicani, the Board of Directors President; Edman Altheman, Faculdades Rio Branco General Director; and Adriana Cruz, Marketing Manager.
