ROTARY DAY CITY COUNCIL CELEBRATED ROTARY DAY At the time, two employees from Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo were honored. Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo guided by the principles of Serving, and recognized as the largest educational Rotary work worldwide, participated in the traditional tribute paid by the City Council of São Paulo to celebrate Rotary Day. The ceremony takes place since 1985 and is an initiative of the councilman Gilson Barreto, in compliance with the law 9,976 authored by the councilman Alfredo Martins. February 23rd was the date set to celebrate the Rotary Day in the State of São Paulo. At the time, Nahid Chicani, FRSP Board of Directors President, spoke about the educational work that has been done by the Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo and by each maintained entity that, all together, form an educational complex. Besides the traditional presentation of the Rio Branco Choir, during the ceremony two employees from the Foundation were honored for their professional performance: Maria Olívia Montenegro, Colégio Rio Branco Assistant Director, and Gerson Francisco de Ó, Maintenance and General Services Leader of FRSP. Annual Report 2014 15 Several rotarians participated in the meeting at São Paulo City Council DISCLOSURE OF MAINTAINED ENTITIES FRSP PRESENTED ITS EDUCATIONAL WORK The Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo Board of Directors President spoke about the Rio Branco Institutions at Regoesp and Rotary Club de Osasco. The Foundation Board of Directors President, Nahid Chicani, attended the 17th edition of the São Paulo State Governors Meeting (Regoesp), the Rotary International meeting, and the meeting at the Rotary Club de Osasco, where he presented the work developed by Rio Branco Institutions. The president talked about the work developed by FRSP, the largest Rotary educational work worldwide, founded in 1946, and its five-maintained entities. The Regoesp meeting gathers Governors from 11 districts of São Paulo. However, for the 17th Edition, governors of other states were also invited in order to divulge the Rotary International Convention 2015, to be held in São Paulo.
