EDUCATIONAL AWARD FRSP DELIVERED THE AWARD DURING THE ENCONTRO NACIONAL DA AMIZADE The prize awards and encourages projects in favor of the intellectual and moral development of human beings. The Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo was represented by Sylvia Moraes Passarelli, the elected Governor 2015-16 of District 4610, who is also member of the Superior Council, in the 25th Encontro Nacional da Amizade (ENA - National Friendship Meeting). The event was in Gramado, State of Rio Grande do Sul, and is hold every two years by the National Coordination Office of Rotarians’ Wives Entities. Just like in other editions, the “Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo Educational Award” was given to works undertaken in the education area. Since 2000, those works aim to embrace and encourage projects in favor of the intellectual and moral development of human beings. The following associations were recognized: Rotarians’ Wives Association from Paranavaí (1st place), Rotarians’ Wives Association from Blumenau (2nd place) and Rotarians’ Wives Association - Casas da Amizade de Santana - from Amapá (3rd place). The event, conducted by Esther Trentini, coordinator 2012-14, had the special participation of Célia Giay, the Rotary International Vice-president 2014-15 and the Rotary International Director 2013-15. In addition, there were important lectures, and Sônia Regina Garcia Melo took over as National Coordinator 2014-16. Annual Report 2014 19 Rotarians Ladies from Amapá, Paranavaí and Blumenau RECOGNITION THE FRSP BOARD OF DIRECTORS PRESIDENT RECEIVES THE MEDAL “LAURO RIBAS BRAGA” This medal is a tribute to individuals and companies that have rendered outstanding services to society. The Board of Directors President of Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo, Nahid Chicani, was honored by the Rotary Club de São Paulo Norte (D. 4430) with the Medal and the Diploma “Lauro Ribas Braga.” Nahid Chicani, with his wife Yara, thanked the tribute and highlighted his actions as well as his professional performance in the Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo and its maintained institutions. In order to recognize Nahid Chicani outstanding professional performance and services rendered to the society and to Rotary Club de São Paulo Norte, Chucrallah Salem El Tayar (RCSP-Norte - D. 4430), the 2nd Vice- President of Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo, took the initiative to nominate him to receive the tribute.
