EXTERNAL EVENTS CIP PLOP WAS PRESENT AT THE INSTITUTO During the event, Nadir Zacarias was nominated as the new committee coordinator. 18 Annual Report 2014 DISTRICT CONFERENCE OF DISTRICT 4680 The FRSP president divulges the institution in District Conference The Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo Board of Directors President, Nahid Chicani, and his wife Yara, attended the 53rd District Conference of District 4680 in Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul State, representing the Rotary International President, Ron Burton and his wife Jetta. At the time, the couple also participated in official visits and ceremonies by the City Hall. As a tribute, they were declared Official Guests of the City of Pelotas. Whenever possible, the president talked about the activities carried out by the Rio Branco Institutions with the purpose of divulging the brand and new partnerships. BRAZIL ROTARY INSTITUTE The event had the presence of many people and was an opportunity to divulge the Rio Branco Institutions. The Board of Directors President of Fundação de Rotarianos de São Paulo, Nahid Chicani, delivered the lecture “Public Image of Rotary” during the XXXVII Instituto Rotary do Brasil, an event held in Natal, State of Rio Grande do Norte. During his speech, Nahid Chicani has shown how the Rio Branco Institutions are aligned with the Rotary principles, including the educational area, and provided some information on the Foundation work through the maintained entities. For the president, the educational institutions have an excellent opportunity to teach the Rotary principles to their students and become a tool to promote Rotary public image. CIP PLOP The Comissão Interpaíses Brasil- Portugal & Países de Língua Oficial Portuguesa - CIP Plop (Inter-Countries Committee Brazil & Portugal and Official Portuguese Speaking Countries) attended the event, and was represented by the Foundation Superior Council President, Carlos Jerônimo da Silva Gueiros, who also holds the position of National Coordinator of Inter- Countries Committees (CIPs) and president of this Commission - he coordinated lectures and meetings related to its performance. At the time, the CIPs work was presented to the elected Governors 2015/2016, who nominated their district representatives. The Governor Nadir Zacarias, who is also a member of the Foundation Superior Council, spoke about the Programa dos Médicos Africanos (Microcirurgia) - African Doctors Program (Microsurgery) - developed by CIP Plop. At the time, the activities of other existing CIPs were presented as well as the institutional material of the Foundation and its maintained entities. During the event, changes in the coordination of committees were formalized, and Governor Nadir Zacarias came to be the CIP Plop president and the Governor Luiz Roberto Barroso was nominated the National Inter-Countries Committees - CIPs Coordinator.
