INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS WEEK The event aimed to provide quality lectures and discussions on various topics of interest to students. The International Relations course of the Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco held the 15th International Relations Week and students were able to improve and broaden their knowledge and analyze different important issues to the international agenda. Based on the contemporary international scenario, the International Relations course coordinator of FRB, Gunther Rudzit, and teachers Rogério Buccelli and Norma Casseb, addressed the international integration process of China. 64 Annual Report 2014 Teachers of UNIFESP - Federal University of São Paulo, José Alexandre Altahyde Hage and Marcus Maurer de Salles, delivered a lecture on Middle East Conflict: causes and consequences, highlighting the attacks to gain territory and the continuing source of disagreement for oil. Samuel Feldberg, FRB teacher, also participated in the activities and underlined the current global geopolitics. To talk about the Brics, teachers José Maria de Souza Júnior, Marcus Maurer and Vanessa Braga Matijascic presented several discussions on Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. They emphasized how the mechanism o f coopera t i o n among the countries work, how it forms the group, and the importance of holding meetings to discuss common issues such as, security, science, technology and business. The theme Internationalization of Companies was discussed by Luiza de Moura Pallone, Renê Ramos and Alexandre Sobral. They showed how it works the social integration of refugees in Brazil, how are employed those ones claiming amnesty and how they are inserted in the job market. Ailtom Barberino do Nascimento Filho, Stefanini Global Accounts Vice- President , explained the internationalization processes of a multinational company. “Russia and Ukraine” was the theme of the presentation of teachers Gunther Rudzit and Pedro Costa Júnior that highlighted the history of the conflict, the economy, the power centralization and the transformation that Vladimir Putin has already done and is doing in Russia.
